One of the regions most successful businesses, Cheshire based Asco Lights was nominated and subsequently won the prestigious Retailer of the Year award 2008 accolade at the inaugural North West Entrepreneur Awards, which took place in Manchester New Century House on the 28th August 2008. The award was sponsored by Bentley Manchester and was awarded to Managing director Ajay Vasdev.
Ajay is extremely passionate about his business and has a thirst for success, which is demonstrated by his expansion and loyal customer base.
“When you have a vision for a business it takes a lot pf hard work to make it a reality, but there is a great feeling of satisfaction when you make it work.”
Ajay commented “We’re very proud to be a business operating in the North West and it was great to take home the award, which was also judged by other entrepreneurs from the region. We have expanded rapidly tapping into the strong demand for high quality lighting products. We are now concentrating on various prestigious projects overseas but the UK market is still very string for us”
The company now represents some of the world’s most renowned brands in lighting with exclusive distribution within the UK, such as Baccarat crystal chandeliers, the only other stockist in the UK is Harrods.
In addition to the warehouse facility, the company also display products within the stunning Style matters showroom in Knutsford. Recently Asco re-branded the company to Asco Lifestyle. Their new site has now created a platform for high end consumer products for the discerning customers.

Eversley & Asco Lifestyle Move Forward
A truly magnificent development opened its doors to the public on 26th September after a long-awaited build programme by the renowned developers Strand Properties.
Award-winning Asco Lifestyle was proud to be involved in this stunning new development in this picture-perfect, glamorous address on the edge of Bowdon, Cheshire. The properties are situated near the pretty villages of Bowdon and Hale, which have long been desirable addresses in Cheshire and latterly feature in a national newspaper named as the place to buy outside London.
A strategic partnership was formed with Ajay Vasdev (director of Asco Lifestyle) and Dr Malaz Charbac (Director of Strand Properties) on this development, and working closely with their architects, designers and landscapers Asco Lifestyle came up with a lighting scheme that allowed Strand Properties to fulfil its design brief. The Asco Lifestyle team works in both the residential and commercial markets, including prestigious developments and private buildings in Cheshire, Mayfair, and now internationally. Through a bespoke design and manufacturing service Asco exceeds the client’s desires to set criteria and budgets.

Hilton Charity Bash
The CC group proudly put on a night to remember holding a black tie charity event in the aid of Mencap at the Hilton Hotel Manchester deansgate on the 6th September 2008, featuring a special performance by Alendaner O’Neal.

Asco has appointed a major public relations agency to create and deliver a 12-month national media campaign targeting consumer and business media via
print and broadcast media and the Internet.

Asco Celebrates Business Growth
High-End European Design for UK Clients is a Key Component of Ongoing Strategy
Asco is celebrating its most successful 12 months to date, having refined its growth strategy and made real headway in achieving
its goals.
“After analyzing the market in detail and looking at selected niche areas, we decided that bringing great European design to the UK market was
the route we wanted to go down,” says Asco MD Ajay Vasdev. “British interior design is traditionally 12 to 18 months behind continental Europe, so it’s fantastic for us to
be able to keep our UK customers bang up to date.”
Asco now represents a number of European designers in the UK, including Swarovski Crystal, Baccarat and Murano. The company has also been accredited
as a supplier by key architects, designers and developers in both the residential and commercial property sectors.
Offering a full design service has also been a USP for the company. “Lighting is an art in itself,” says Ajay, “and being able to offer
lighting design from scratch is something we’re really proud of.”
Over the next 12 months, Asco plans to consolidate its high-end offering in the North West and beyond, bringing cutting-edge lighting design to
discerning clients who expect the best in design, delivery and service.
